HIV Prevention and Services

CHA provides a coordinated approach to HIV that brings together doctors and  public health experts to meet patient and community needs. Whether you are worried about HIV, at high-risk or are HIV positive, you will find medical care and social services from people who truly understand.

Primary Care

If you think you’re HIV positive, we’re here for you. We offer HIV counseling and testing in addition to primary care in a respectful and strictly confidential space.

The CHA Zinberg Clinic is a dedicated HIV care site at CHA Cambridge Hospital known for a multidisciplinary approach. You will find primary care, specialty care, mental health, social services (including case management), and even acupuncture for people living with HIV.

In addition, PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis of HIV) is available.

Counseling, Screening & Referrals

If you’re at risk for HIV, regardless of your ability to pay, you can receive HIV tests, counseling and referrals for services and treatments. You do not need to be a CHA patient. These services are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, French, and Cape Verdean Creole at several sites across Cambridge and Somerville. Interpreters in other languages are also available.

Get HIV counseling and testing in Cambridge and Somervile, Monday through Friday, 9 am - 5 pm. Call (617) 591-6767 for more information.

Case Management

Many people with HIV struggle with housing, financial and food security as well as many other issues. You may need a case manager to help you get the emotional and social support that you need. Our case managers will help you get connected with financial assistance (rental start-up and utilities assistance), legal referrals, housing and help with family matters. Staff members speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole, with other languages available.  Call (617) 665-1606 for more information.
