The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship program accepts psychiatry residents who have completed their PGY4 year of training. The program participates in the National Resident Match Program (NRMP) and complies with all its rules and regulations. Interested applicants should submit an application via ERAS by October 1, 2023. Interviews will be offered beginning in September through November.
Applications submitted using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) are accepted and should include:
- A completed application form
- Documentation of having passed all USMLE Steps 1 - 3 or COMLEX exams
- Three letters of reference, with at least one from a Consultation Liaison Psychiatry supervisor
- Curriculum vitae
- Personal statement
Appointments generally begin on July 1st and are for one year. The program is fully accredited by the American College of Graduate Medical Education for two fellows per year. Fellows in good standing will be eligible for specialty boards in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry providing they have met the other requirements as described by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
All offers of appointment to CHA sponsored training programs are specifically conditioned upon a criminal background investigation and a negative drug test (uses workplace standards, including chain of custody; marijuana is excluded from the testing). Background checks will be carried out by an agency on behalf of CHA. By signing the background check release form, prospective trainees are consenting to a background investigation. The drug test must be completed within 10 days of matching (all costs covered by CHA). It will be conducted at CHA Occupational Health for those residents within 20 miles of Boston. All others will be tested at an outside facility arranged by CHA.
