Additional Information
I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Miami in Florida for my undergraduate degree. I then did my medical school training at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, Missouri. I completed my residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Vermont Medical Center where I stayed to practice the full breadth of OB/GYN for the following year.
I chose OB/GYN as a specialty because I am passionate about caring for patients throughout their lives. In this field, we have the privilege of helping patients through some crucial life events and I feel strongly about supporting patients to choose what is right for them and their bodies. I enjoy the variation in our specialty between days in clinic, time on labor & delivery or performing surgeries in the operating room.
I love my job and definitely feel I found what I am meant to do for my career. I value being someone for patients to confide in with concerns or symptoms they are experiencing, and try to help them as much as possible. As an OB/GYN we are able to care for patients throughout their reproductive years and into menopause. I enjoy operating in a variety of surgeries including robotic surgery.
I like to travel and experience different parts of the world. My husband and I try to go somewhere new on each of our trips.
I grew up in Massachusetts on Martha's Vineyard and am very happy to be practicing back in my home state. I try to spend as much time as possible with my family who still live there.
