Tufts University Family Medicine Residency (FMR) pleased to announce appointment of Caitlin D’Agata, MD, as Program Director

The Tufts University Family Medicine Residency (FMR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Caitlin D’Agata, MD, as program director. Dr. D’Agata will start her new role on November 1, 2019. She has been a faculty member in the program since 2014, and has led the residency’s Health Equity Working Group, a driving force for the residency over the last three years.

Dr. D’Agata attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and completed her residency training and faculty development fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. She is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Dr. D’Agata replaces Gregory Sawin, MD, MPH who has served as program director since 2009. Under his leadership, and in collaboration with CHA and Tufts University faculty and staff, the program has been hailed nationally as a vanguard in primary care transformation and innovative residency education. We are forever grateful to his steadfast commitment to teaching and dedication to CHA’s mission of serving vulnerable populations.
