WHY CHOOSE US?

Our Medical Staff.
When choosing a surgeon for yourself or a loved one, only the best will do. Our surgeons are experienced, and are leaders in their fields. Many are on the faculty at Harvard Medical School and the area's finest hospitals. We have recently added new surgeons and cutting edge minimally invasive procedures. Our new minimally invasive surgeons are fellowship trained and offer treatments for a variety of abdominal, endocrine, colon, and breast issues. Additionally, the Alliance can now provide downtown medicine in your community for liver, biliary, and pancreatic issues.

We're Investing in Your Health!
Medical technology is always changing - and we are changing too. Over the past few years Cambridge Health Alliance has made significant investments to improve our care.

Changes include state-of-the-art operating rooms, new imaging technology such as MRIs, CT scanners that show pictures in 3-D, ultrasound, digital mammography, and new C-arms for our endovascular suites. We are proud to offer our patients the newest innovations in health care technology.

Our Approach.
We provide a multidisciplinary approach to care that brings together doctors, nurses, physician assistants, and surgical technologists. This team approach allows us to make the right decisions for each patient.

We want you to feel comfortable with the care that you receive at Cambridge Health Alliance, which is why we take extra time to explain our services to you. We see our patients as partners in their care. If you ever feel uncomfortable with a recommendation, we always encourage you to get a second opinion.

The Convenience.
Our patients can get top surgical care at all of our three hospital locations - in Cambridge, Somerville, and Everett. And, because we offer a full range of services - from diagnosis to rehabilitation, most patients never have to leave our system.

Cambridge Health Alliance is known nationally for providing care in our patient's language of choice. Interpreters can always be made available for patients and their families to help improve communication. However, many of our surgeons are also bilingual. If you want to see if your surgeon speaks your language, just check our Provider Directory.

Expert Nursing Care.
Our nurses work side by side with our physician teams and are essential to maintaining our safety protocols. The nursing staff at Cambridge Health Alliance is unsurpassed in the greater Boston area. Not only are they caring and always looking out for patients and their families, but many have advanced degrees and are continuously improving their skills.

Quality.
When you choose a hospital, you should choose one that you can trust. At Cambridge Health Alliance we meet the highest standards of care. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), a national organization that insures quality standards in hospitals, gave us a rating of 98%.

We were also recently awarded Cancer Accreditation status by the National Cancer Society. We are proud to be one of the few healthcare institutions in the area to achieve this status.
