The Division of Neurology provides consultative services
for adults in all emergency, inpatient and ambulatory settings.
Board-certified Neurologists cover the Cambridge, Somerville and
Whidden hospital campuses.
Consultative sessions are available every weekday
and a neurologist is on call for emergencies at all times. Appointments
are made through the Multispecialty Practice Administrative Offices.
Services:
- Neurodiagnostic testing in the form of EEG (electroencephalography,
brain wave)
- Neuroimaging by CT (computerized tomography) and MRI (magnetic
resonance imaging)
- Basic electrophysiologic testing (EMG, NCV - electromyography
and nerve conduction velocity tests)
- Carotid ultrasound (Doppler) testing
- Multiple sclerosis evaluation and treatment
