NURSES WEEK 2008
Cambridge Health Alliance is proud to have celebrated National
Nurses Week 2008. Many special events were held to honor nurses
and nursing practice at CHA, including:
- Nurse Recognition Receptions at various CHA locations
- Special Address: Nursing Presence: The Transformative Power
of Compassion by guest Anne-Marie Barron, PhD, RN, Professor of
Nursing, Simmons College
- A Presentation for Nurses: Healing Arts for Renewal and Wellness
- Nursing Grand Rounds: Faith-Based Primary Prevalence of HIV
in Communities of Color
- An Interactive Community Forum: So You Want to be a Nurse?

These events were an opportunity to honor all CHA nurses who work
on the inpatient units, in the clinics, and in the community setting.
Cambridge Health Alliance is also proud to recognize its Nursing
Spectrum Excellence Award winner in the Mentoring category, Carleen
Riselli, APRN-BC.
Other CHA nurses receiving awards from various organizations included
Linda Battle, APRN, Diane Butera, RN, James Dias, RN, Regina Galarza,
RN, Nan Hellman, APRN, Fareeda Mahmoud, APRN, and Alison Sarnoski,
RN.
