Cambridge Health Alliance Honored for Patient Safety
Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Revere, Somerville,
Winthrop, MA…Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) was recently honored
by Masspro, the federally designated healthcare quality improvement
organization for Massachusetts, for its exemplary commitment to
improving the quality of care for patients of the Commonwealth in
the areas of Acute Myocardial Infarction, Heart Failure, Pneumonia,
and Surgical Care.
CHA was presented with the award for its active participation in
an Identified Participant Group (IPG) as part of the Centers for
Medicare & Medicaid Services 8th Statement of Work to achieve
exemplary benchmark performance. As a member of the IPG, CHA's contributions
enabled the development and production of efficient improvements
in the defined areas of Patient Safety that resulted in the IPG
finishing in the top five in the nation.
Masspro (www.masspro.org) develops and disseminates innovative
solutions that transform patient care by improving its safety, effectiveness,

care delivery system, not just its individual components. We also
focus and leverage the power of information technology to provide
improvement solutions and deliver maximum impact.
