Somerville Hospital Ladies' Aid Association Welcomes Mayor Curtatone
to Annual Luncheon
Somerville, MA…The Somerville Hospital Ladies' Aid Association
kicked off its 117th year of fundraising with a luncheon at the
Mount Vernon Restaurant on September 17th. The Association, which
currently has 75 members, is a charitable volunteer organization
that assists patients at Cambridge Health Alliance's Somerville
Hospital campus.
Somerville Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone joined the celebration and
apprised the group of progress being made throughout the city, including
development at Assembly Square. Jan L. Cinganelli, President of
the Somerville Hospital Ladies' Aid Association, thanked the members
for their support of the Adolescent Assessment Unit and other areas
at the Somerville Hospital campus. In total, the organization donated
$20,000 last year.
The luncheon concluded with a ceremony honoring members with pins
in recognition of their hours of volunteer service.
Cambridge Health Alliance is an innovative, award-winning
health system that provides high quality care in Cambridge, Somerville,
and Boston's metro-north communities. It includes three hospital
campuses, more than 20 primary care and specialty practices, the
Cambridge Public Health Dept., and the Network Health plan. CHA
is a Harvard Medical School teaching affiliate and is also affiliated
with Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard School of Dental Medicine,
and Tufts University School of Medicine.
