Cambridge Health Alliance Welcomes Steven Manos to Board of Trustees

Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Revere, Somerville, Winthrop, MA…Francis H. Duehay, Chair of the Trustees of Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), today announced a new appointment to CHA's Board of Trustees. Robert W. Healy, City Manager of Cambridge, appoints the Trustees and is pleased to name Steven Manos of Cambridge to the Board.

Prior to his retirement in late 2007, Steven Manos served as Executive Vice President of Tufts University for 26 years and was instrumental in its development and growth. Mr. Manos was responsible for many of Tufts' operational aspects, including finance, budgeting, human resources, construction, internal auditing, real estate, risk management, legal, and institutional research. Prior to his work with Tufts, Mr. Manos served in various capacities, including Assistant Executive Director of the American Bar Association, Assistant District Attorney in New York County, and Chief Executive Officer of the Manhattan Bowery Corporation.

“As a nationally recognized model of an academic, integrated public health care system, CHA is committed to helping communities become and stay healthy, caring for people when they are ill, and teaching health professionals to work in diverse communities,” said Duehay, Chair of the Trustees. “Mr. Manos brings to CHA’s Board of Trustees invaluable experience in institutional management and administration as well as dedication to civic engagement and public service. We are delighted to attract such an accomplished area leader who will complement and add to the diversity and skills of our Board as we aim to enhance programs and services across the organization.”

Mr. Manos holds a law degree from New York University School of Law and a master’s of public administration from New York University Graduate School of Public Administration.
