Cambridge Health Alliance Bolsters Care for Seniors with Appointment
of Geriatric Medicine Expert Winnie Suen, MD
Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Revere, Somerville,
Winthrop, MA...Cambridge Health Alliance announced today that Winnie
Suen, MD, an expert in geriatric medicine, has joined its staff.
Dr. Suen will work in various geriatric programs providing care
for older adults in Cambridge and Somerville.
Employing a holistic approach to care, Dr. Suen is deeply committed
to improving the quality of life for patients dealing with life-threatening
illnesses or at the end of their lives. She will serve as a geriatrician
for CHA's HouseCalls Program, which provides primary care to homebound
seniors who do not have access to the doctor's office. Other services
for older adults offered by CHA include the Elder Service Plan,
the Memory Center, and Geriatric Mental Health programs. For more

Dr. Suen graduated from the University of Hawaii's John A. Burns
School of Medicine. She then completed residency training in internal
medicine and a two-year geriatrics fellowship at Boston Medical
Center along with a fellowship in palliative care jointly offered
by Massachusetts General Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
She is an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School and is
board certified in internal medicine.
