Cambridge Health Alliance Named One of the Top 100 Integrated Health Networks in the Country

Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Revere, Somerville, Winthrop, MA...Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) has been named one of the most integrated healthcare networks in the United States by Verispan, an independent research firm whose report is regarded as a premier healthcare rating system.

Verispan's annual survey, now in its tenth year, grades health networks using a 100-point scale that evaluates the health systems' operations, efficiency, and breadth of services. This year's report identifies the top 100 integrated health networks out of 587 non-specialty, local, and regional networks. Verispan ranked the systems on a variety of factors including patient access, clinical quality, physicians, and the use of technology. Verispan found that top integrated health systems, like Cambridge Health Alliance, offer a wider range of services, including disease and planned care case-management programs. An integrated approach to services helps improve health outcomes and encourages patient-centered care and programs.

Cambridge Health Alliance's score of 80.64 earned CHA a ranking of 49, a significant improvement from its position at 81 in 2005, making CHA the second-highest ranking health system of the five from New England that made the list.

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is an innovative, award-winning health system that provides high quality care in Cambridge, Somerville, Everett, Revere, and the surrounding Metro-North communities in Massachusetts. It is a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and includes three hospitals, more than 20 primary care practices, the Cambridge Public Health Department, and the Network Health plan. With this unique model, CHA is able to offer the finest health services, a diverse working environment, and a premier training experience for those interested in community-based medicine. http://www.challiance.org/
