Christina Severin
is President
of Network
Health, where she leads the charge to create long-term strategic
initiatives to address the specific needs of the health plan's stakeholders,
and incorporate those initiatives into the work of teams across
the organization, while managing the bottom line. Severin brings
15 years of health care, quality improvement, and management experience
to Network Health.
Prior to her
role as President,
Severin served as vice president and chief operating officer, managing,
directing, and coordinating all aspects of the health plan's operations.
Her noted accomplishments include revamping the core administrative
system and overseeing the launch of the plan's social case management
program, which helps members find solutions to housing, heating,
or other barriers to care. She was named by the Boston Business
Journal to its yearly
list of "40 Under 40" business leaders to watch in the
Greater Boston region. Previous to Network Health, she served as
director of managed care and practice management for Health Services
Partnership, and practice manager at Codman Square Health Center,
both in Dorchester, Mass., and director of community health center
services at Boston City Hospital.
Severin earned
a master's in public health with a concentration in health services
from Boston University School of Public Health and a bachelor's
in political economy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
