The Center for Children and Adolescent Development provides individualized services for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families at our Medford location (101 Station Landing) and satellite offices at the CHA Cambridge hospital campus. We serve patients of all cultures and offer services to non-English speakers through our bilingual staff and certified medical interpreters.

For Patients:

  • Comprehensive Neuropsychological Evaluations
Neuropsychological testing will assess a student's cognitive, behavioral, and emotional
functions, as well as academic skills, using a set of standardized tests and procedures.
This comprehensive assessment will help explain learning, social, or behavioral difficulties,
and a written report will include specific recommendations for home, school, and community.
  • Evaluations and Consultation for Autism Spectrum Disorders
This includes testing, observation, and consultation for children, adolescents,
and young adults with suspected or confirmed diagnoses of Autism, PDD-NOS,
    or Aspergers Disorder.
  • Ongoing Treatment
Therapy and pharmacological intervention is available as dictated by clinical need.

As part of our commitment to provide coordinated patient care, we work collaboratively with other professionals involved in the treatment or care of children, including school personnel, early intervention specialists, primary care physicians and therapists.

We also make referrals to other professionals or agencies who provide needed services that we do not yet offer (e.g., Early Intervention, Occupational or Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Developmental Optometry, Nutrition, etc.).
